Hey!
I'm Giuseppe 👋, based in Italy, currently working as SDE @ Itaca srl and UX Design @ Itaca srl, a spin-off of University Of Calabria, and SVF FW25 Fellow in San Francisco
I’m a software engineer and UX designer with a strong focus on building modern, scalable, and conversion-driven web experiences. I make decisions based on data and reasoning, not just aesthetic taste, always chasing a balance of function and beauty — things that work well, feel intuitive, and are enjoyable to use. Having a technical background paired with design sensitivity feels like a real edge — knowing what’s actually feasible, what’s worth optimizing, and what risks turning complex for no reason.

Where it all starts
Enrolled in the international scientific program at Liceo Scientifico Enrico Fermi, studying in Italian and English, while training as a saxophonist at the Conservatorio Fausto Torrefranca and performing in 10+ concerts around Cosenza.

Cambridge IGCSE exams
Completed the Cambridge IGCSE track — Co-ordinated Sciences, Mathematics, English as a Second Language and Geography — alongside competitions in computer science and hackathons.

Graduated with full marks after serving as student representative in the Provincial Student Council of Cosenza. Then enrolled in Computer Engineering at the University of Calabria.

Trained in offensive and defensive security with CyberChallenge.IT and competed in the Unical Games 2024-2025 / 2025-2026, sharpening teamwork and hands-on collaborative activities.

Building and maintaining Public Administration platforms, improving usability and operational workflows, and leading ETL data-migration automation with Apache Hop across heterogeneous legacy systems.

Designing UX guidelines for PON eCommerce projects and the UI/UX of GeoEsplora Calabria across the mobile app and web dashboard, translating tourist, administrator, and local-authority needs into clear digital flows.

Selected for the FW25 batch (acceptance rate below 4%, 700+ applicants). Gained hands-on experience in venture building, leadership, and design thinking. Developed a global network and an entrepreneurial mindset to drive impactful innovation. Awarded based on merit and personal records.

BSc in Computer Engineering
Graduated in April 2026 from the University of Calabria with a thesis project — Serenity, an MVP for mental well-being tracking — after a path through algorithms, software engineering, AI, machine learning and data mining.
